Test and evaluate the effects of Jitter and Wander before they seriously affect your network
Handheld Analyser/Generator for hierarchical interfaces up to 155 Mbit/s
Victoria Jitter/Wander is a handheld for the analysis and evaluation of SDH, SONET, PDH and T-Carrier networks and equipment and the Jitter and Wander impairments on them. It has all ITU-T and Bellcore interfaces up to 155 Mbit/s:
Electrical: E1, E2, E3, E4, STM-0, STM-1, DS1, DS3, STS-1, STS-3, G.832 VC-12 with optical: STM-0, STM-1, OC-1, OC-3, G.832 VC-12.
- O.172 and O.171: Jitter/Wander reliable measurements according to ITU standards
- Arbitrary modulations for Jitter/Wander are generated to simulate all possible real situations
- Great variety of Jitter/Wander standard and programmable masks for pass-fail tests
- Synchronization and video quality measurements as frequency offset and drift
- Real time wander measurements without a PC
- Ease of transport and manipulation, due to its hand-held condition
- Ease of use and low training requirements, because of its friendly GUI
- All events displayed instantly by SoftLEDs: quick appropriate corrective action
- All the remaining benefits of Victoria SONET/SDH/PDH
A simple sinusoidal signal is not an accurate reflection of reality and is often not enough for testing a device. With the EDISA signal editor you can design advanced tests and reproduce the type of phase fluctuactions observed in the real world. These can then be loaded onto the device and used to generate signals with advanced jitter and wander modulations.
